Complimentary Lunch & Learn – Depression and the Treatment – Prevalence Paradox

Thursday, 9 June at 12.00pm (AEST)

It is widely believed that treatment for depression has both significantly improved and become considerably more accessible since the 1980’s coinciding with the medicalisation of psychiatric disorders. Interestingly, with this increase in treatment availability, we have not seen a commensurate reduction in the prevalence of depression, thus creating the treatment-prevalence paradox.
