Dr Michelle Woolhouse

Dr Michelle Woolhouse founded the Whole Medicine clinic in 2009 on the Mornington Peninsula.Her philosophy is that health addresses the whole spectrum of a person’s life emotional, physical, mental and environment. This approach is best suited to people who are proactive about their health and who want to combine science with holistic practices to be well.
Dr Woolhouse has an in-depth understanding of the underlying cause of diseases and in the healing principles of the body from an energetic, biochemical and structural level as well as a psychological, spiritual and emotional level. She obtained her medical degree from Monash University in 1996, and is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioner’s (RACGP). Dr Woolhouse is also a fellow of the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (ACNEM) and the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine (ASLM) and has post graduate training in hypnotherapy, acupuncture and a post grad dip. mind-body medicine (Swinburne university)
Dr Woolhouse is a frequent lecturer and mentor for GP registrars and doctors and a founding board member of the working party between the RACGP and Australasian Integrative Medicine Association.
She was also on the ACNEM board for 6 years from 2011 until 2017. Michelle has authors 4 articles for the AFP, reviewed 4 editions of Cohen and Braun’s the Herbs and Natural supplements and Kotsirilos, Sali, and Vitetta, Textbook of Integrative medicine. She has represented ACNEM on channel Ten ‘ The circle”.
Dr Woolhouse is co-founder and co-host of the award-winning health podcast, The Good Doctors and was recently given a lifetime achievement award for services to integrative medicine by National Institute of Integrative Medicine in November 2019.
Her number one piece of advice to patients is: ‘everything in moderation even moderation itself’.
She loves surfing, watching her girls grow up, being the best person she can be and spending time in nature.
