BSC (HONS) MB BS (LONDON) FRACGP FACNEM FASLM Dr Amy Gajjar is an Integrative GP based in Sydney, combining mainstream and functional medicine, coaching, yoga and ayurvedic lifestyle. She qualified at the Imperial College School of Medicine in London and after moving to Sydney, undertook training to obtain the Fellowship with ACNEM. She has also received her Fellowship in Lifestyle Medicine and is a Board – certified Lifestyle Medicine Physician. Her main interests are gut health, thyroid disease and autoimmunity. She is a Registered Hatha and Kundalini Yoga teacher and has also studied ayurvedic lifestyle, coaching, personal fitness training, NLP and meditation. Dr Amy is also a writer and enjoys presenting at community workshops and seminars. She is a Medical Advisor to “Dance Health Alliance”, a not-for-profit organization, that facilitates dance programs in the community and care homes, to improve quality of life and mind body balance for people with neurological conditions such as Dementia and MS. Retired from his registered medical practice at 70, now nearly 14 years ago. Since then, he continued with part-time consultations being more limited after being diagnosed with CLL 3 years ago. The latter responded well to Ibrumitib combined with naturopathic therapies.

M.B.B.S (Melb), F.A.M.A.C, F.A.C.N.E.M, F.F.M.A.C.C.S Dr. Joseph Goldbaum graduated in 1971 from the University of Melbourne Medical School as a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B., B.S.). Initially trained as a family practitioner, he undertook additional training in acupuncture and nutritional medicine receiving Fellowships in the Australian Medical Acupuncture College in 1981 and the Australian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine in 1996. He has also had extensive Cosmetic Surgery training and presented his work to national and international conferences.

Dr Anna Goodwin completed her training in Haematology and Medical Oncology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, a prestigious NCI designated Comprehensive Cancer Centre. She held multiple academic appointments at the University of Alabama within the cancer centre and within the Centre for Free Radical Biology. She also has had an adjunct faculty appointment to the Clayton College of Naturopathic Medicine. She has had publications in peer reviewed journals regarding the relationship between nutrition and disease. Anna is passionate about creating access to quality cancer care, and was instrumental in starting a cancer centre in an underserved Alabama community, which she co-directed for over 10 years before moving to New Zealand. Anna became a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2013. She is also a member of ACNEM and also the Society of Integrative Oncology, and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Anna has worked within the public and private sectors in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions for the last 10 years. Anna has a special research interest in malignant brain tumours, breast, bowel, prostate, and pancreatic cancer. She incorporates an integrative care model to facilitate cancer survivorship. She presently consults from the Kathleen Kilgour Centre in Tauranga, and Southern Cross Rotorua Hospital.

I started my healthcare journey as a theatre orderly at Wesley Hospital, then went on to complete training as a Registered Nurse at the Royal Brisbane Hospital. I then managed a medical centre and spent nine years as a pharmaceutical representative, and studied at night to complete a degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine, then completed studies in Naturopathy. It was after this the I entered Medicine. Following the completion of my medical degree in 2003, I then completed my FRACGP in 2007 and went into general practice in Brisbane. I have since completed studies in skin cancer medicine and a Diploma of Skin Cancer Surgery, completed a Diploma of Aesthetic Medicine twice (in USA and Australia) and also completed a Fellowship in Anti-Aging, Metabolic and Functional Medicine through the American Academy of Anti-aging Medicine (A4M). Of course, most recently completing my Fellowship with ACNEM has been a long term goal. I currently practice in Chermside in Brisbane. I am happily married and have one grown son, and now have a beautiful baby girl who is 18 months old. I look forward to expanding my integrative medicine practice.

MBBS MA FRACGP FACNEM Dr Gupta is a vocationally registered general practitioner who runs an integrative medicine clinic on the Sunshine Coast. His main passion relates to finding the underlying causes and innovated approaches to managing chronic illness. Dr Gupta graduated from medical school at the University of Queensland 1999. He has received specialized training in integrative medicine, and was awarded a Fellowship of the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine in 2008 and a Fellowship of the Australian College of General Practitioners in 2010. He also has a physician training certification with Dr Ritchie Shoemaker in biotoxin illness and Masters of Nutrition with Dr Gabriel Cousens in diabetes and living food nutrition. He is currently a board member of the Australian Chronic Infectious & Inflammatory Disease Society (ACIIDS) and also the International Society for Acquired Environmental Illness (ISEAI). He has a broad range of interests including environmental medicine, management of cardiology and cancer cases and mast cell activation syndrome, multiple chemical sensitivity and management of chronic infections.

Dr. Cheryl Kam is a functional medicine coach, transformational teacher, and Founder of The Vibrant Life Academy. MBBS (King's College London) BSc (Imperial Business School) Fellowship (Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine) With 15 years of clinical experience under her belt, she gives practitioners the resources and mentorship they need to change the world, one client at a time. An experienced Family Physician, she left conventional clinic work to pursue her passion in human development. She obtained her integrative and functional medicine fellowship at the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine, and studied Advanced Nutrient Therapy and Brain Biochemistry by the Walsh Research Institute, Chicago, Illinois, USA.

MB.BS, FACNEM, FRNZCGP Dr Karl is the Founding Director of Functional Medicine Doctors in Auckland, New Zealand. He specialises in treating chronic illness with an integrative and functional medical approach. He is Co-Chair of the New Zealand Society of Integrative Medicine and member of the International Editorial Panel of the journal Clinical Interventions in Aging. Dr Karl has been practicing functional medicine for 20 years and is a regular speaker and educator at international conferences. Dr Karl was an ACNEM board member from 2014-2018 and ACNEM Vice President from 2018-2020.

I wanted to be an artist but became a doctor to support my family as I am from a poor immigrant family who lost everything migrating to Australia. I have had a long career in Medicine since graduating from Medicine UNSW in 1987. I am trained in acupuncture, psychology and counselling and family planning. I trained to be a straight GP and practiced as such until I came across ACNEM, which changed the course of my medical practice in 2008. ACNEM foundation course in 2008 changed everything and I have never looked back. I set up Nplus clinic in 2010 which is an integrative practice in Chatswood, and in 2011 became an ACNEM fellow. In 2015 I became certified to treat mould illness, CIRS by Dr Ritchie Shoemaker MD. I am a great believer that doctors have to practice what we preach. I truly believe most of the answers are in the history the patients bring us. I am a great believer also in endeavouring to get to the root course of patients’ illness. However getting to the root course should not involve excessive money spent on endless testing. We should always think hard about what investigations will give that patient the biggest 'bang for buck’, as majority of these patients present to us when they are desperate and broke, having depleted their funds looking for answers for their chronic conditions. Patients also need to be guided in how to eat and move their body. I believe diet and exercise are the most important foundations of this medicine. Detoxing body and mind(especially trauma ) is also crucial, but foremost patients need to be encouraged to be ready to heal. When they are not ready, the journey is arduous for them. Detox is not something you do once a year or few weeks a year. As we live in a toxic, traumatic world we need live a life of healing and forgiveness. We need to live minimising toxin exposure, removing toxins from our body constantly and effectively. Guiding patient through this can be a liberating experience for the patients. Finally having a creative and broad mind help in medicine. This enables us to explore possibilities and situations we are not familiar with instead of closing our minds off just because we never heard of something before.

MBBS, FACNEM, FASLM, Awarded Honorary Fellowship of the RACGP Associate Professor (Dr) Vicki Kotsirilos AM is a respected holistic general practitioner with over 36 years of clinical experience who emphasises the importance of lifestyle and preventative medicine with her patients. She works at Dunstan Dental & Medical with a great team of dentists and GPs with an interest in integrative medicine. Prof Kotsirilos has a wide range of interests and keeps up to date with the research in Nutritional and Environmental Medicine, Integrative Medicine, Lifestyle, Prevention, Air Pollution and Medicinal Cannabis. Prof Kotsirilos was Australia's first Authorised GP prescriber in May 2018, and now serves on the Federal Government, Australian Advisory Council on the Medicinal Use of Cannabis. Vicki is grateful and honored to have received the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (ACNEM) Award in 2014 in "recognition of outstanding service in the field of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine”. Prof Kotsirilos plays an active role within the RACGP who she highly values and respects. She was a Board member of the National Faculty of Specific Interests of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and founding former Chair of the Integrative Medicine working group from 2009 till 2016. She was also the Founder and Founding former President of the Australasian Integrative Medicine Association from 1991 till 1998 and continued to play an active role on the Board from 1991 till 2012. Due to her extensive voluntary work Prof Kotsirilos is privileged to have received a number of awards such as Member (AM) in the General Division of THE ORDER OF AUSTRALIA for 'significant service to integrative medicine, to health practitioner standards and regulations, to medical education, and to the environment', and an Australia Day Environment Award, by Bayside City Council. Prof Kotsirilos is a medical writer and has published well over 100 articles in a wide range of medical magazines and journals such as the Insight, Medical Journal of Australia, and for the public. She was a regular writer for AUS DOC and Medical Observer from 1996, later publishing a regular monthly column on Integrative Perspectives from up till 2019 that was widely circulated to over 30,000 Australian doctors. Prof Kotsirilos is widely quoted in the media such as radio and television on issues related to general health care matters, Nutrition, the Environment and Medicinal Cannabis. Prof Kotsirilos lectures regularly to doctors and has spoken at numerous medical and public conferences. Prof Kotsirilos holds an adjunct associate professorial position with NICM, Western Sydney University, and formerly with La Trobe University's, Department of Dietetics and Human Nutrition, Faculty of Health Sciences and as an Adjunct senior lecturer and Adjunct Associate Professor with Monash University, Department of Epidemiology & Preventive Medicine. She has served on many state and federal government committees, such as the Therapeutic Goods Administration, Complementary Medicine Evaluation Committee (8 years) and as the GP member on the Adverse Drug Reactions Advisory Committee (5 years). A/Prof Kotsirilos is proud to continue to work for regulatory federal government bodies.

Dr Lai graduated from University of Hong Kong in 1996. He finished his general practice Fellowship in Hong Kong in 2006 with additional training and diploma qualifications in dermatology, geriatric medicine, paediatrics and medical acupuncture. After moving to Australia in 2009, he works as a GP with special interest in dermatology and skin cancer medicine. He is currently a Fellow of Australian Institute of Dermatology, Skin Cancer Institute and an Accredited Skin Cancer doctor from Skin Cancer College Australasia. He is also a member of Australian Medical Acupuncture College. In 2016, he started his learning journey in ACNEM and completed his Fellowship in 2020. He has strong passion in practicing Integrative medicine by incorporating what he learned from ACNEM to his daily management of different general practice conditions, dermatology and skin cancer problems in a more comprehensive and holistic approach.

Dr Loo Hui Voon graduated from University College Dublin in Ireland. She completed her postgraduate family medicine training and obtained Master of Medicine in Family Medicine with the National University of Singapore. She holds the Collegiate Membership of the College of Family Physicians Singapore, MCFP(S). Her main interests are in family medicine, women health, thyroid and adrenal health, gut health, psychological health, paediatric health and disease prevention. She has an interest in nutritional medicine and believes in holistic approach to address the underlying cause of diseases. She has done training with Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine and Advanced Nutrient Therapy by Walsh Research Institute in the US. Academically, she is involved in postgraduate family medicine tutoring with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore and sessional clinical facilitator and examiner with the LKC School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Dr Loo is fluent in English, Mandarin, Bahasa Melayu, Cantonese and Hokkien.
