Fiona Donohoe-Bales

MCAP, Dip. Health (Adv. Yoga Teaching)

Fiona is a senior yoga teacher, yoga therapist and Mindfulness meditation teacher specialising in women’s health and wellbeing. She is also an experienced counsellor, psychotherapist, group facilitator and yoga teacher trainer. Fiona is a qualified Trauma Sensitive Yoga Teacher and Therapist and is a member of Yoga Australia and the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).

Having been privileged to discover yoga during her early teens Fiona is passionate about sharing the life-changing benefits of yoga with others. She is known for her authentic, warm and inclusive teaching style and for her compassion-centred philosophy. Practices are crafted to cultivate growth and transformation through curiosity, mindful awareness, playfulness and innovation.

Over the last decade Fiona has developed a keen interest in developing evidence-informed Yoga and Mindfulness practices for women experiencing perinatal mood disorders. She is currently excited by the prospect of further research into the efficacy and effectiveness of Integrated Yoga and Mindfulness tools as a first-line therapy for new mothers.

Fiona has spoken at Yoga and Medical conferences throughout Australia and is a regular podcaster and sessional lecturer on Mindfulness meditation. She’s passionate about helping others experience greater resilience and wellbeing through the profound transformational tools and philosophies of the Ancient Wisdom Traditions.
