Medicinal mushrooms have a profound impact on health and exhibit a broad spectrum of pharmacological activities, including immunomodulating, neuroprotective and prebiotic properties. These activities are attributable to several bioactive compounds present mostly in the fruiting body, whose biological effect and distribution varies depending on the fungal species.

This webinar will:

  • Discuss medicinal mushrooms such as Reishi (Ganoderma lingzhi), Shiitake (Lentinula edodes), Maitake (Grifola frondosa) and Lion’s Mane (Hericium erinaceus).
  • Delve into the intricate relationship between mushroom beta-glucans and the activation of pattern recognition receptors, elucidating how these compounds orchestrate and optimise several crucial functions to promote good health.
  • Discuss key treatment considerations centered around these remarkable mushrooms, uncovering their unique therapeutic potential and optimal utilisation in holistic healthcare treatments.
