Reine DuBois

In Australia, 1.3 million people that are aged 14 or more have taken crystal methamphetamine (ice) at some point in their lifetime. Alarmingly, 20% of meth users take the drug weekly or daily and 90,000 people are using it on at least a monthly basis.

Since early 2020, COVID-19 has impacted the availability of services in the Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) sector across Australia. Residential rehabilitation centres and face-to-face treatment options may be limited, however innovative care and support options are available.

This on demand webinar is the first step to creating awareness as to why people use ice as a coping mechanism and will provide an overview of contributing factors, screening tools, in session holistic care strategies and where to go for more information.

We are excited to have addiction specialist Reine DuBois, clinical director of the Health Lodge and senior functional medicine practitioner to discuss:

  • Ice user self-care
  • Contributing factors to ice use
  • Screening tools
  • Where to go for more information
